This App constitutes a remote control for Radialight products with Wi-Fi connectivity.  It can be used to control all the products’ main functions when you are away from home, as well as managing them simultaneously while controlling consumption levels, when you are at home as well.

The App can be used with all Radialight products equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. At the moment the Klima, Icon, Kyoto and Aethera ranges are available in this version.

The products of the Kyoto and Aetherea ranges in the basic version can be connected by purchasing the optional Wi-Fi module which can be installed quickly and easily directly by the user without the need for external assistance.

To be able to use the remote control system, the products must be installed in a space that has a Wi-Fi internet connection, and you must have a mobile device with an iOS or Android operating system, connected to the internet.

Data consumption depends on how often you consult the App to check the status of the products, and how often you send commands or change settings.  As a rule of thumb, you can assume a mean daily consumption level of about 2 MB for each product installed.

No. Currently the Radialight range of products with Wi-Fi connectivity can only be controlled using the Radialight App, but not by using other smart systems such as Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, etc.

The app is available for both iOS (version 11.0 or later) and for Android (version 7.0 or later).

The products can be connected to 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi networks with WEP/WPA/WPA2 protection whose name or password is no longer than 30 characters.

5GHz Wi-Fi networks are NOT supported.

When the App is opened, you can choose to create a new account by selecting REGISTER.

To register you need to enter your name, a valid e-mail address, and a password (at least 8 characters long including one uppercase letter and one number).

Registration is subject to acceptance of the conditions for Privacy and Processing of personal data.  On the other hand, the choice related to receiving updates and promotions is optional.

After pressing the REGISTER button, the system sends a link to the indicated email; open the link, by clicking on it, to activate the account. If you do not receive this email, check the Spam folder of your e-mail account.

Having completed registration, the App asks for authorisation for sending notifications.  This authorisation has to be given in order to receive the optional notifications that can be activated via the settings.

If you have an account but have forgotten your password, you can reset it very easily. Use the dedicated link on the login page of the App, indicate your email and then press the Reset password button. You will receive an email containing a link to set a new password.  If you do not receive this email, check the Spam folder of your e-mail account.

Yes, the same account can be used on a number of devices at the same time, to allow a number of people to control the products.

No limit is set to the number of zones and products you can manage using your account.

To delete your account go to the SETTINGS section and press on DELETE ACCOUNT. If you confirm your choice, your data will be deleted from our servers.

Once the account has been created and accessed, the App automatically displays the start screen for the procedure for registering a new product.  To register subsequent products, select HUB > YOUR PRODUCTS (icon in top left corner) > ADD A NEW PRODUCT (icon at the bottom of the list of products).

Because, the first step is to connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi network generated by the product.  To do this, you have to open the settings for your mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi section, and select the network generated by the product bought.

The network name will be shown as Radialight_XXXX and the connection password is given in both the instruction manual and in the App itself.  If you need to register a number of products, we recommend switching them on one at a time to avoid confusion about the names of the networks generated.

Once you have connected to the product go back to the App, which will show a list of the Wi-Fi networks received within 1 minute.  Select the one you wish to connect to.  Remember that the network must be able to connect to the Internet.

The use by the App of information relating to Wi-Fi networks is only permitted if the user has granted permission to access the location of the device. If you do not allow the app to access location information, you cannot proceed with product registration:

IF YOU DO NOT GRANT THE REQUESTED AUTHORIZATION, WHEN PROCEEDING WITH REGISTRATION THE APP WILL SHOW A MESSAGE RELATING TO THE ABSENCE OF CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT EVEN IF YOU ARE REALLY CONNECTED WITH IT AND IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO PROCEED FURTHER.

The use by the App of information relating to Wi-Fi networks is only permitted if the user has granted permission to access the location of the device. The position of the device is detected by the GPS sensor which, therefore, must be switched on.

Before accessing the Wi-Fi settings, the App contacts our servers to begin the new product registration process. If your mobile device does not have an active internet connection (via data connection or connection to a Wi-Fi network with connectivity) the App shows an error message. Restore the internet connection and try again.

The “No product found” message appears if an incorrect password is entered, if the product has been switched off, or if you are in a position in which your mobile device is not able to connect to the network generated by the product.

To solve this problem, move closer to the product, check it is switched on correctly, and reinstate the connection between your mobile device and the Wi-Fi network generated by the product.  Having checked that the connection has been reinstated, go back to the App and select TRY AGAIN.

An indication of the maximum intensity of the signal received is indicated near the name of each Wi-Fi network.  Connections to networks with a quality other than Excellent may cause the App to malfunction, due to an incorrect exchange of information with our servers.

If problems are encountered, we recommend installing the product in a position in which the signal is stronger, or get a signal amplifier / repeater for the network you want to use.

The product’s connection to the Wi-Fi network may fail for various reasons, such as:

- An incorrect password has been entered.

- The Wi-Fi signal is too weak or variable.

- The Wi-Fi signal you want to connect to is no longer available.

Check that the signal is available and its quality, and then select TRY AGAIN to begin the registration procedure again.

If, despite making various attempts, you are unable to register the product, we suggest you reinstate the default settings and try again.  Use the product’s instruction manual and proceed as follows:

- Reset the radiator.

- Set the radiator in Access Point mode.

- Switch the product off using the main ON/OFF switch on the right side.

- Close the App and open it again.

- Switch the radiator on again, using the main ON/OFF switch, and wait 30 seconds.

- Repeat the procedure for adding a new product.

To set the radiators Klima/Icon to Access Point mode:

- Switch on the radiator;

- Reach the wifi menu by pressing the “F” key;

- Press and hold the “+” key until AP appears on the screen.

To set the radiators Kyoto/Aetherea to Access Point mode:

- Switch on the radiator;

- Press and hold the validation key to enter the main menu;

- Goto Settings > Wi-Fi;

- Use up/down keys to select Access Point;

- Press the validation key to confirm.

The HUB is the App’s first page.  The HUB shows all the zones along with the most important information that characterises each of them.

Touch the centre of a zone to get a detailed view of its characteristic parameters.  The icons at the top can be used to access a list of your products and the settings section.

To view a list of the products, select the HUB, that is, the first page of the App, and then touch the icon in the top left corner of the screen:

All the settings for the products in a zone can be seen by touching the centre of the screen when you are in the first page (HUB).

The parameters that can be set are:

- Operating mode.

- Open window detection

- Presence detection

- Block product keypad.

- Comfort temperature.

- Eco temperature.

Please note: The settings are applied to all the products in the zone, without distinction.  If a product needs to be operated according to different parameters, a new zone must be created to contain it.

	Open window detection This function makes it possible to detect when a window is opened, and to automatically switch the unit to Anti-freeze operating mode.
	Presence sensor This function allows the product to detect whether there is anyone in the room, and to automatically regulate the heating level.
	Block commands The product’s commands can be blocked to avoid the settings being changed by accident or by unauthorised people.

One or more of the functions may not be available, depending on the model of the product purchased.

The lower part of the screen that displays all the zone settings, has a list of the products that belong to that zone.  If a flame symbol can be seen near the product name, this means that the product is working and heating the space, at that time.

This message is displayed if the function is working and it detects a window being opened.  The product’s operating mode is automatically switched to Anti-freeze to reduce energy wastage a much as possible.

You can ignore this information or reset normal operating by touching the RESET icon or the anti-freeze symbol that appears on the right of the product name.

It may be that all the products in the same zone are not in the same state.  This situation, typically caused by changing the state manually, may affect the operating mode, the state of the sensors, or the values of the Comfort and Eco temperatures.

When this condition arises, the App highlights the parameter found to be out of line in the zone, by displaying this symbol:

On Android devices, enter the screen of the zone you want to delete and press on DELETE ZONE at the bottom of the page.

For iOS users, a zone can be deleted by pressing on its description and sliding your finger from right to left until the Delete button appears.

Please note: a zone cannot be deleted if it contains one or more products.  Move the products to other zones before deleting the zone itself.

Open the product list by pressing the icon visible at the top left when you are in the Hub and then use the menu accessible by pressing the 3 dots to the right of the product name to select the DELETE item.

The App has a preset weekly program with the following characteristics:

Operating mode: Comfort

Monday-Friday from 06:00 to 8:00 and from 17:00 to 24:00

Saturday-Sunday from 06:00 to 08:00, from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 24:00

Operating mode: Eco in all remaining time slots.

You can edit the preset program or create new programs more suited to your needs, by accessing the Programs section, and touching the relevant icon at the bottom, always displayed by the App.

The weekly plan represents the day or number of days for which a specific operating timetable is to be set.

All the days on which you want the same operating times must belong to the same weekly plan.  If a number of plans are created within a program, each day of the week can only be assigned to one of them.

Based on this logic, the default program has a weekly plan that includes all the days Monday to Friday, and another that includes Saturday and Sunday.

To set the same operating plan for all the days of the week, simply set a single weekly plan.  On the other hand, to have different operating times for each individual day, you must create 7 separate weekly plans

The time slots are defined in each weekly plan, to set the Comfort, Eco, or Anti-freeze operating mode for various times of the day.

If, for example, you want Comfort mode from 08:00 to 10:00 and Eco mode at all other times, 3 time slots must be created:

- The first sets Eco operating mode from 00:00 to 08:00.

- The second sets Comfort operating mode from 08:00 to 10:00.

- The third sets Eco operating mode from 10:00 to 00:00.

The Anti-freeze mode is never set, as this is the default mode for all times for which Comfort or Eco operating mode is not set.  If, therefore, you want Comfort mode from 08:00 to 10:00 and Anti-freeze mode for all other times, simply create one time slot from 08:00 to 10:00 and set Comfort mode for it.

The Anti-freeze mode is never set, as this is the default mode implemented for all times and days for which Comfort or Eco operating mode is not set.

To edit the program used for a zone, open the zone detail screen and select the programmed operating mode.  Having set programmed operating mode, the name of the reference program is displayed.  To edit it, simply touch the name of the active program, and select one of the programs available

A program can be deleted by going to the list of programs and dragging the name of the program to be deleted from right to left.

If the program is assigned to one or more zones, it is automatically reassigned to the first program in the list, which can never be deleted.

The consumption value indicated in estimated by the product’s control software, and is not measured by instruments installed for this purpose, and is therefore a rough indication.

Consumption can be seen by individual zone or for all the products registered in your account, added together, and can refer to 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days prior to consultation.

Information on consumption is displayed on both the first page (HUB) and in the relevant Consumption section that can be accessed by clicking the icon in the bottom right corner, that is always displayed.

The HUB shows consumption trends over the last 7 days, along with an estimated overall value for the energy consumed, expressed in kWh.

The Consumption section can be used to analyse various periods (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days), as well as to compare and view the estimated cost. (The estimated cost can only be viewed when the relevant option is activated in the Settings section, and entering the unit energy cost).

If the Consumption Alarm has been activated in the settings section, with a threshold set at which notification is received, the background colour of graphics can change from green to yellow to red.  The green colour indicates that total consumption for all the zones, added together, is below the threshold set.  The yellow colour indicates that the total exceeds 95% of the threshold, and the red colour is used when the set value is exceeded.

Please note: the background colour only changes for the timespan for which the consumption threshold is set in the Settings. If, for example, a limit is set on a weekly basis, the background colour will change when it represents the consumption over the last 7 days, whereas that for 24 hours or 30 days will always have a green background, irrespective of whether or not the threshold is exceeded.

The App makes it possible to view an estimate of the cost of the energy used by its products.  For this reason, the average energy cost paid to your provider has to be indicated in the Settings section.

The App makes it possible to activate notifications to be sent when the following events occur:

- Detection of a window being opened (for zones in which this function is activated).

- The presence of one or more products on Stand-by when the zone they belong to should be in a different mode.  

- Exceeding the consumption or cost threshold set by the user.

These notifications can be activated independently in the Settings section, which can be accessed via the main page (Hub). 

THE OPERATION OF THE NOTIFICATIONS IS CLEARLY SUBJECT TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE AUTHORIZATION REQUESTED DURING INSTALLATION OF THE APP. CHECK YOUR PHONE SETTINGS THAT THEY ARE ACTIVATED.
